Banded albinos?

I bought my pair of het albinos last month, consisting of an '08 female and '09 male, both from high-contrast (JKobylka) lines... I specifically chose the male for his cool banded pattern, and was just wondering if that's a genetic trait? I know patterning is somewhat genetic, but not in the Mendelian way (no idea what that actually means, LOL) - right? And I don't recall seeing banded albinos, so hopefully someone here has an example to show me! I tried doing an image search, and didn't come up with much. What do you predict their babies will come out like? I know, I know... just have to wait and see! :D

Some banding or extremely reduced pattern snakes have proven to be genetic. For example, Pythonica (http://www.pythonica.ca/morphs/) here in Canada has a few that have proven to be genetic.

I would hazzard a guess though that your male is not a genetic banded/reduced pattern. So the babies are really a free for all. The only way to know would be to breed the two snakes, hold back all female offspring, and then in three years breed them all back to the male and see what you get.

Yes, the banding can be passed on, but more than likely it will be sort of a mix between the patterning of both the parents. There are some 'genetic banded' morphs out there that are co-dom or recessive. One example would be the Joliff Tiger line which is just the banding with normal coloration. Another would be the enchi which also adds a bit of color to the banded look.
