    Shed on head... Stopped eating???
I have a question..... I have a 1200 gram female ball python. She has a little shed on the top of her head and along side of neck.... maybe like 2 inches down... no eye caps. This week we tried feeding her a large rat. She struck and wrapped... she had it down to about the back legs and you could see the shed was starting too come off... She then started too back the rat out of her mouth completely and have nothing too do with it anymore... So we thought maybe the large rat was too big? So we gave her a small one, struck, wrapped and started too swallow then backed that out. So the size i'm thinking was not the problem. Do you think it's the shed on top of her head causing discomfort anD that's why she didn't completely finish? ANy help will be usefull. Thanks......

    Hi,

I suppose it's slightly possible - I would soak her and remove it just in case.

It is also possible however she stopped because she felt exposed and insecure with you watching.
