    pacman/ornate horned frogs - advice?
I'm going to have a 20g long screen top cage empty soon(ish). I've been thinking of what to put in it, and pacman frogs definitely made the list.

Would anyone care to point me to a couple quality care sheets? Using google, I've found that care for these guys isn't as well documented or agreed upon as ball python care is.

Some specific questions about things that people don't seem to agree upon:

    1) heat?? UTH? room temps are fine?? I've gotten yes and no on both sides.

    2) general cage setup?? provide a pool for soaking or not? substrate: gravel, slate, moss, coconut coir, or a combination??

    3) diet. This is the biggest area of concern, no one seems to agree upon what to feed these guys. They mention all different kinds of insects to rodents to fish, without any regard to proportions for a balanced diet.

    4) sex. How/when can you sex these guys? Just wait until they're old enough and check size differences?

    thanks a ton.

    A follow up question:

are all the different species of Ceratophrys common in captivity or just Ceratophrys Ornata? Does anyone have any preferences for one species over the rest for any particular reason?

First off, here's a care sheet. You should also join the site. Lots of froggers there.

There are a few species of pacmans in captivity, cranwelli, ornate, cornutas, orwells, fantasy, and now even the elusive auritas have made it to the pet trade, although not really available right now, hopefully Phillipe will be able to breed them.

Don't put your finger in front of it! It can deliver a nasty bite. I was once got 'tagged' by an albino 'pacman' and my nail was curved for 6 months. But I still like these rascals - they're just cool. :-)

Here's a good advice though: Don't give them any prey that might be too big as they can die of asphyxiation.
