Ball python excreted waist on me!
so my baby normal, zeus, was drinking his water at night. i was sorta mesmerized by the drinking. so when he stopped, i came closer to the cage and tried to pick him up. well, he wasn't really in the mood to be held i guess at the moment, so he hissed at me. (he gets in those moods) i decided to keep on holding him, and sat down to watch T.V. about 3 minitues later i heard a squish like sound, i looked down, and wouldn't you know it, little zeus decided to poo on me... it was this long thing that smelled terrible, and the urine didn't help. As i stood up, the poo came off me and on to my rug. So heres my question... Who has had any incidents with poop and snakes?

Not necessisarily poop, but my female Sheva decided to excrete a copius amount of urine and urates all over myself and one of my favorite sweaters... while I was laying on my BED.

I wasn't too vexed though; I almost thought of it as a snake-owner baptism. lol

This happened to me twice last week. I was holding my Albino female and she was just moving threw my hands when my fiance was like :O and ran away saying that is gross. I had no idea what happened. Until I looked down. It was all over my lap and on the floor. Thank goodness the floor is tile. I held her away from me and let her finish. Then a few days later I noticed my Graziani female had a piece of her shedding on her back. I wet her down let it sit for a few minutes and statrted to work it off of her. Wouldn't you believe it she started to poop on me. I was like what the heck.

So with in the last two I have gotten pooped on twice. Bit 9 times. 5 by Ball Pythons, 1 by GTP, 2 by small mice (did not break the skin) and 1 by a hopper rat ( did not break the skin).

LMAO... It's happened to me a few times already, but I'm learning to spot the signals (and move them quickly). When the tip of their tail sticks up, they wiggle it around, and I notice that flattening around the middle - watch out, thar she blows!! :omfg:

So, I take that you guys don't check for swollen vents before you decide to spend quality time with your snake?:rofl:

Any slight bulge, the snake doesn't get handled.

I have to say that has happened to me also, I got it from a couple of my balls and my two super dwarf retics. I have to say the mess was larger from the balls but the stink was far worse from my little 09 SD's.

The Albino was not even that swollen. I guess from her moving around threw my fingers just... Then the other time I was just focused on getting the shedding off.
