I have changed his setup quite a bit. I know I'm gonna get some gripe about the heat lamps, but they are necessary for keeping the ambient temps up. I will switch to aspen bedding in about a month when humidity starts going down. I have a heatpad connected to a rhetostat on the hide on the bottom right.

I think its fine! I use a heat lamp as well as a UTH to heat the air temps in the winter months because my house is at 68! How are you measuring temps? I don't see a thermometer. That's the only problem I can see!

I agree. You can grab a really cheap Accurite Digital temp and humidity monitor at Lowes or Home Depot for arounf 15 bucks. It'll really help make sure everything stays where it should be day and night.

As for Aspen bedding, I use it on both my snakes and they seem to like it. I do too.

Looks pretty good. Since that is such a big tank, you might want to put more hiding spots or fake plants.

I would ditch the cardboard hides, not because they are cardboard but because they have TAPE. Trust me, sooner or later you will be peeling it off your snake and that is no picnic. Try and find some plastic bowls and cut a hole in the side. You can smooth out the edges with a lighter.

On a side note, you have hermit crabs! My roommate has 11 of them in an awesome crabitat. They are pretty fun little guys :)

I don't have an Accurite, but I will be getting one soon. My dad has a accurate meat thermometer that I "borrow" 4 times a day to check the temp.
I also have a stick on humidity gauge. If you read my calibration post about those, you know that there is a way to calibrate them
