    38g Expulsion
Sheesh, yesterday our BP weighed in at 344g. After the weighing, it shed, peed, and pooped. Today I weighed it before feeding, and it was only 306g! Dropped nearly 40g! (The newspaper was pretty soaked.) :O

It felt so "empty" too, since it's usually on a 5-day feeding schedule but today was the 7th day due to shedding.

After 2 mice, though, he's back to being his solid self. It amazes me, though, how they can take in and expel so much in one fell swoop!

I know, huh?? My bigger snakes will lose 30-40g easily after a good poop/pee, and can put it back on (and then some) in one meal. If only I could lose 30lbs by using the bathroom... LOL. ;)

ROFL, I was thinking the same thing... imagine if we could fill a toilet with around 10% of our body weight??? For one thing, toilet bowls would have to be a LOT bigger! But then, imagine eating 10% of our weight! I can't even begin to guess what that would entail or how long it would take. :weirdface

Well, I'm fascinated by the "amazingness" (if that's even a word) of snakes. :)

Uhh one of my girls just dropped a huge poop today, and a huge pee too. She went from 2160 to 1999 just as fast.

I posted something similar in a thread a while back. We should be eating 10-15% of our weight per week. Whereas snakes will do it at one time, ours is spread out. Let me see if I can find it...

Impossible, I thought. Then I remebered that is for one week, which works out to 3.1- 4.7 lbs of food per day. So I headed off to the kitchen to look at some of my food. Keep in mind that this doesn't account for calories, only food weight. Here's what I found:
1- can of green beens, wt. 16oz
    1- can of corn.............wt. 16oz
    1- can of tuna.............wt. 16oz
Now, look at it like this: Servings per container,
    1-can of green bean- 3.5
    1-can of corn--------3.5
    1 can of tuna-------- 2
My conclusion: If you eat 1 can of tuna and 2 cans of vegetables, that is 2 servings of meat and 7 servings of vegetables per day. Toss in a couple slices of whole grain bread, a couple pieces of fruit and a glass of milk, and you fall within the 10-15% per week and I also comply with that nutritional pyramid thing...
