    Fires, Pastels and Fireflies
I Have a question about fires. I have been reading about how Fires are supouse to clean the pastel gene up (make that browish color go away) so I have been looking at pictures of fires and fireflies, But to tell you the truth I dont see a difference between fires and a normal ball. The same with the pastels and the fireflies. The fireflies just look like pastels to me, still browned out. I dont see much improvement of the fireflies over the pastels.... Maybe I havent seen a good fire and firefly??

Maybe it's because I was looking mainly in kingsnake and random websites. Can anyone help out with some pictures and "hands on" information on this?

In my collection so far I have:

    - 0.1 normal, my first bp that started this all for me :D
    - 1.0 pastel
    - 1.0 VPI Axanthic
    - 0.1 Spider (Coming Soon!)

Maybe you could see where I'm going with this... :P

I though adding a fire to this would be a good idea, but after seeing some pictures of fires and fireflies, I was dissapointed. That is why I need some help here.

    Thanks alot again!

Good example of a fire! Some are kind of subtle otheres such as Emilios are very obvious.AS for Fireflys I've never seen an ugly one.If you can get pastels that look like fireflys let me know where because that would be an A+ Grade Pastel.

Here is a pic of one before it really started to color up. A good quality fire could not be mistaken as a normal.

You read it wrong. It's more like fireflies that look like pastels and fires that look like normals. Go to kingsnake and look up fires and fireflies and you will see what I meant.

The examples posted here are MUCH better! :gj:

Those look realy nice thanks, you should post an update pic when some months go by. I wonder what they'll look like when 6months-1year has gone by... :)

Btw, how much would a firefly cost average?

    Re: Fires, Pastels and Fireflies
FIRE and FIREFLY pictures don't do them justice !

I saw a firefly at the CRBE from O.C.D. and I couldn't believe how Yellow it was glowing. I saw multiple pictures of that particular animal before and it was totally not the same animal.

I am not a fan of Pastel, but the Firefly is something !
