Starting out
As a breeder what core morphs should you own to start combining and making combos. I am looking at spending a max of 1200 to add to my collection. Currently I have 4 normals, 1 66% poss het pied, and a yellow belly.

For me..
Spiders,
Hypos,
Albinos,
Pinstripes,
Mojos,
Pastels,
Those to me are the base animals that every breeder should have....

I think it's different for everyone..
For myself I would say...
Lesser
Pinstripe
Clown
Albino
I would decide what type of combo morphs you would like to work with in the future, and then youll know what you need..

I would try to prove out the pied, you'd have to get a het pied, i think visuals are over the 1200 range. yellow bellys go good with just about anything. some sort of clean up morph is usually a staple in peoples collection, pastel being the cheepest or you could get a fire or enchi. if you go with a pastel i would suggest getting a double morph or atleast a super pastel. they might be in your price range.

i would also say i wouldnt pass up any super or double morph
sure you think making bumble bees, but with the price of them in the long run you would produce spiders, pastels, and bumble bees just breeding one to a normal. the nicest thing about supers is your not producing normals.

Re: Starting out
Super pastel
Lesser
Pin
Spider
Albino
Clown
I can make any morph my wife wants with these 6. Are you buy babies and growing them up or trying to buy adults? You wont get many adult breeder females for $1200.

Re: Starting out
I would go with a pied male to try and prove your het pieds.

Re: Starting out
Thank you all for your advise,my het pied is only a possible het, I got him off craigslist and the guy bought him from a reptile show and the breeder told him he is 66% het pied but he had no paper work and I bought him as a normal. BTW the het pied is a male. I would like maybe sub adults but I can deal with babies. Some one mentioned hypo I keep seeing that name, can some post a picture of one and tell my (if not obvious) what makes them special.
