    Woma price dropped??
I love Woma pythons (and basically every Australian reptiles)....but I always considered them to be a pricier morph.

    Now I'm seeing '09s go for $250! :O

Anyone else notice this price drop? It's good for the consumer, but if I were to breed my Womas once the grown, I'm afraid the market will have decreased even further. With this negative trend, I don't know if I can justify the expense.....

Anyone remember what the prices were a few or even couple years ago? (I'll share my results if anyone else is interested :))

In 2008 I bought a male woma for $250, I currently have an 09 baby that I am trying to sell for that price as well.

If you buy a pair now, you can make your money back in one or two clutches of eggs honestly. Sure the price will drop, as it does with pretty much every animal as it becomes more available, but you will be able to produce a number of babies (hopefully) every year.

Thanks guys....I'm not in it for the money, I just don't know if I should spend the money now or wait until the price goes down even more.

I love Womas....they are such a beautiful species!!

Outback reptiles has some great stuff too for sale, how do you keep track of it all? ;)

What was the price of albino ball pythons a few years ago before everyone and their brother and sister were producing them? I remember seeing them in the 12 to 1,600 range. Not sure if they actually sold for that much. It's just how things go, when demand is high and supply is low you can charge a lot. Because of this people see an easy way to make money. However, a lot of people buy in on these and breed them; demand is much lower and supply is too high. Simple circle of almost every market.

well it all depends on what your buying as well. there are local lines that are a bit more expensive. there are also carrot heads (i think thats what they are called) that are more too. but yes, your average run of the mill woma is cheaper.

im waiting for the black head price drop!!!

I don't really see where they have price dropped. This time last year they were about the same price as what they were. Now prior to that, it may be a different story. Males are usually around $250, females are usually around $300. I will get a woma one day when they get around $200. I've always thought they were a pretty species.

They've dropped drastically over three last three years.
