    If the snake wont eat the f/t, can you throw the rat back in the freezer and it be okay for the next feeding time?

    Hi,

    It depends how long it has been unfrozen and what state of decay it is at.

    Either way I wouldn't recommend doing it twice - every time you do it the chances of the rat bursting open increases.

    Let your nose be your guide - if it smells rotten then it really is best just to toss it.

    I usally only do it once. I leave it in the cage for a couple hours if the snake dont take, I will refreeze it in a seperate bag so I dont refreeze it twice.

    I dont. If my snake doesnt eat it something will... be it my snapping turtles or my "trash" snakes I.E. kingsnakes ^_^

    I'll only re-freeze rodents once if they haven't been sitting out for very long. If I'm suspicious of it at all, I just pitch it.
