    Adding Mutated Genes to BELS
Once an animal inherits the genes necessary to be a BEL, will it always only be a BEL regardless of what else it inherits? Or if other genetics are added to the mix (ie spider genes, pastel genes, etc.) will something new come out?

I know there are tons of combos involving the lesser gene out there, but does the butter gene have the same potential? Or is it mainly used for making BELs.

    Thanks,
    Dennis

I BEL can be a spider, pastel, or any other morph as well. You may not be able to tell that it is carrying those traits visually, but when the animal is bred it will still produce those other mutations.

Anything you can make with a lesser you can make with a Butter. They are the same thing.

truth is you don't know until you try.... BEL albino

that was made with russo hets, now will lesser/butter have the same effect? don't know until someone makes one. and lesser is just a different line of butters or butters are a different line of lessers, same morph tho.

IMO a butter and lesser will give you the same general effect on a given combo but the coloration would be a little different.

That just goes with the great lesser vs butter debate.
