    "Basking" under black lamp?
:weirdface Little bit curious here, after dispatching the mites and not seeing any for 5 days straight, I decided to re"fancy" Artemis's tank, I put new aspen back in (after spraying mite spray on some paper underneath the aspen, just to be safe) then her climbing branch and hides and bowl. But I did something different, I put a peice of black slate in the tank and aimed the 75 watt black nighttime heat lamp onto it (I don't know why I did this, just wanted to concentrate the heat some maybe). Anyway, she's been curled up on the rock all night, not been in any of the hides. The temps are fine, I mean, there's a 75 watt bulb shining in there, for pete's sake! Is that normal, or is she too cold, should I take the slate out? Maybe she doesn't like the aspen? Any input?

Okay, scratch that, she apparently doesn't have any problem with the aspen, she's sitting on it now in the middle of the tank, not under the heat light, but not on the far end....
