I got him, and yes it is a male, at the Branson Expo yesterday, from Chris McVicar of New Shed Serpents in Oklahoma City...and yeah, yeah I know about the half a log hides, but it will have to do for a few days til I can get something better!!!!!!!!!

Nice spider! :) I just got my male spider last month, and he is a total sweetie... I've heard that is typical of the morph, for whatever reason. Does yours show any signs of the "spider wobble" yet?

Love the spider!!! I would look at replacing the log hide with a solid hide that encloses them in tight all sides and top, only opening would be the hole they go in and out:) These hides can be made relatively easily with butter tubs etc....Reptile basics carries nices ones made out of an ABS type plastic...
Best of luck with the spider:)

No signs of wobble yet :)
The first night I had him I think he was a little stressed, from all he had been through that day, but he wasn't wobbling. So I let him settle in for a day or two, then last night I offered him some food, the first time he struck and missed, and I think that stressed him out a little bit, because he retreated to his hide, but I kept dangling the mouse in front of his hide, and it wasnt long before he came back for another try, he didnt miss the second time..:gj:
But as far as a wobble or spinning, I havent seen any of that yet, but I have heard it can come on suddenly, so I guess only time will tell!!!!
