Is this the right weight for my bp?
Well I finally got a scale from RBI...& my normal bp looks a little bit thinner than my lemon...she is about 1 1/2 years old...& she is now 3 feet long...her current weight is 563g I feed her every sunday 2 medium mice, as well as my lemon but my lemon weights 605g & is the same size as my normal do u guys think I should feed adult mice to my normal? Or do you guys think this weight is perfect for her...

I'm not an expert on this subject, but I think that your bp is a bit underweight. Try feeding it rats instead.

Every snake will grow at a different rate. As long as she isn't bony looking and doesn't consistently refuse food then there's nothing to worry about. Weigh her food, feed 10-15% of her body weight weekly. Switching to rats will definitely make things easier on you if she'll go for them.

The weight is definitely too low for a three + foot ball. She should be getting bigger prey. My 08s, with one exception, are 700-900+ grams and eating sm-med rats. My one 08 that isn't is only about two feet, 375-400 grams, a problem feeder and takes XL mice. A good guideline to use is to feed your snake one prey item about as big around as the snake (or multiples that add up to that). When the snake is bigger around than the prey, it is time to offer larger.

I agree with Nae. BPs have different growth rates. I have an 08 Female from July of 08 that is 2.6 ft long (havent checked her length anytime recently) and 700+ grams. I feed her a small rat every Friday. But then again, you may just have a slow grower. If the BP takes on a triangular look as opposed to a round one then you need to worry. Personally I would up the size to at least a weaned rat, but thats just me. I'm not looking at your snake to judge. You could at least try large adult mice. Esp if you have a mouser.
