Normal Weight Gain in Young BPs?

I'd love to hear from you more experienced folks about what a normal weight gain is for BPs under a year old.

I ask because ours is about 9 months old. We got it exactly 3 months ago at just under 120g, so thin it was shaped more like an eel than a snake. At the time I didn't realize just how thin it was, only that the spine was pretty visible. It was being fed hoppers at the time.

After yesterday's 40g meal, it now weighs 320g (was 280g before eating). Allowing for the poop that's due soon, that's nearly a 200g increase in 3 months.

Is this normal, or faster than normal? I'm wondering if he's been quickly catching up to where he should've already been when we bought him.

Because of his thinness, I monitor his weight closely and weigh him immediately before and after each feeding, and occasionally in between. On his 5-day feeding schedule, he rarely drops below the prior post-feeding weight. I'm guessing a few grams would drop if meals were spaced out more than 5 days apart. Is it normal to not drop below the post-feeding weight?

120g for a 6 month old is very small i think but about 200g gain n 3 months sounds good if your feeding it good. Mine is a year old and weighs about 650g. but ive never had any problems with him eating

Weight varies tremendously.
200 grams in 3 months is great, especially for a skinny snake to put on.

I have a 4 month old lesser girl that is 375 grams, her sister is 225. One eats well, the other one hammers anything thrown at her, lol.

9 months old and 120 grams, gads.

Sounds like it's on it's way to a healthy recovery, props.

That is after 4 feedings of appropriate sized rats. Not as much growth as I would like to see. If you ask me, it just seems like some snakes grow slowly. Mine was quite small to begin with though, especially his "neck" area.
