The one who started it all...
Just thought I'd share these new pictures of Delilah, my very first snake/BP... she's probably close to a year old now (got her in Feb), and weighing nearly 600g. She also shed the other day, which is why I decided to take some pictures - I like how dark her black is getting with each shed. :)

(sorry about the weird border - I'm forced to use my Shutterfly instead of Photobucket for a few days)

Re: The one who started it all...
Btw, I'm not sure what to do with her breeding-wise (hopefully in a year or so?), since I hadn't planned to breed when I got her. If she was your normal girl, what morph would you mate her with? I'm thinking a dark co-dominant of some kind, but can't think of what... my current boys (Spider, Mojave, Pastel & het Albino) don't really seem like good matches. Any ideas? I think she'd make awesome high-contrast Albinos, but I already have a pair of 100% hets for that project. :confuzd:
Re: The one who started it all...
I love her...stunning....I am new to all this but what if you breed to a caramel albino and breed out het for caramels? I see her color and distinct pattern going nice into that line? Otherwise she could make some nice dom morphs just with her color i think, pins? spiders? again I am new to this myself, just thoughts:)
Re: The one who started it all...
Thanks! Her name means "dark beauty" in Swahili, and I think she is living up to that. ;) I would love to make some caramel albinos, but at this point I'd have to start with a het pair - since I probably can't afford a real one quite yet. Definitely a good plan for the future, though!
Thinking I might just breed her with my spider, since he should be ready around the same time... and he can be with multiple females, so that wouldn't alter my original plan for him (bumblebees). She might also go well with a yellowbelly, pinstripe, woma? - and definitely with an axanthic, but that's another I can't afford anytime soon.
Re: The one who started it all...
Good looking girl. If it were me, I would pair her with a cinny male.
