    Off Feed Dor Breeding?????
I need to pick a few of your brains for a minute. I have 5 females that should deff be breeding this season. Now, I tried to feed them yesterday and the only one that ate was the smaller of the 5 and she is 1200g about. I didn't give it much thought as two are in deep shed and the biggest girl is just a sporatic eater anyways at 2719g. The temps here have been dropping really chilly at night and in my snake room for the past few weeks down to about 73-75 degrees. Are they refusing cause they wanna be paired up or am I looking into it too much? This is my first season so I don't really know the tell tale signs of when the females are ready. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

First of all I look for girls that have a change in behavior. Like a girl that never moves off her heat spot is laying on the cool side all of a sudden. Or a girl that normally just slams rats has started refusing food. Now that doesn't mean that they all do that. I have some girls that will eat till with in a week or two of their ovulation. If they start refusing on a weekly basis for a few weeks I'd try pairing them up, especially if you've been cooling for the last few weeks.

Ok thanks for the tips. Also I haven't been cooling them per say for the last few weeks. Just the ambients have been dropping to 73-75 at night. I haven't touched the heat tape at all and don't plan to since my ambients are going so low I figure if they wanna cool they can just go to the cool end. Daytime ambients are about 80.

Throw in a male, it may get her to start eating again if the male tries to breed her.
