UTH and reptile carpet?

    UTH and reptile carpet?
    I use newspaper for bedding, but I also have a spare piece ,f reptile carpet/astroturf. Do I put a peice of that under the newspaper on the side that the UTH is?

    Why do you want to do this?

    It just seems like giving yourself a cleaning nightmare for no reason.

    I don't really see the need in doing so. If you don't use a thermostat or rheostat to control the UTH then you might want to consider using the carpet so your snake doesn't get burnt from the UTH being extremely hot. Though, I think the snake could possibly move it out of place.
