    140* thermostat problems help
    my thermostat just put one of my ball pythons temps to 140. i yook her out immediatly. my male is below hers and his wont warm up. the temps set at 90...the males tanks at 74 please help me out

    What kind of thermostat is it?

    If you need a backup in a pinch you can use a plug in dimmer switch that they have at home depot in the light section. This will help you regulate temps somewhat until you figure out your thermostat problem. The dimmer switch is like 10-15 dollars and they are handy to have around in these type of scenarios.

    Id look at thermostat probe placement.

    What heater are you using that got up to 140?

    What kind of thermostat?

    its a Johnston controls A419. and im using 3 in heat tape.
