    Blood in females cage
    I just switched from aspen bedding to newspaper in my females tub and I noticed she had lines of red what looked like blood on the paper i've never bred her so I know that has nothing to do with it but there is a male 2 tubs under her I dont know if that has something to do with it....
    Please help i'm a worry wort

    Has she shed? They will sometimes bleed very slightly from the vent when they shed--the blood vessels there are very close to the surface, so sometimes a few capillaries go when the skin pulls away.

    Another possibility--have you fed her recently? Could it be rat's blood?

    If neither of those two things are the case, I would keep an eye on her. If you see it happen again, take her to a vet along with a fecal sample for a parasite check.

    She shed a few days ago. She hasn't ate in a little over a week.

    Anyone know if that looks normal theres no more than yesterday and its all dried up now

    As explained above it’s not unusual to find a little blood after a shed.
