Granted that you hold it no more than 15 min a day, You're BP is not stressed through husbandry:

Being held by humans is not a BP trait. It just may not like it...ever...In cases like these, the only thing you can say is: "oh well"

Just because he's trying to get away doesn't guarantee that he doesn't like it.. it could just be that he's energetic and wants to explore.

Ya doesnt mean hes trying to get away. Ive had some that are totally lazy and others that seem curious. The baby Ive had for several months now is just that way. Hes over here, over there, back up my arm, under there up on there. Also depends where im at in the room. I see a pattern but havent figured it out.

When I hold Snickets, she's constantly on the move. She's as bad as a toddler. The only time she's pretty calm is when I take her in the bathroom where we have heating lights, and there are times I put those on to get a better look at her (this was when I had to assist her to shed). But if I sit down it's go go go!

The one thing that I've noticed works, I'll put her down on my bed and fold my comforter over and she'll hide under there and kinda explore. Or, I have extra hides that she never uses unless I put her on my desk and put the hide out. She'll crawl in the hide and just sit there.

When I hold Elizabeth...which tends to be allot because she LOVES to be out with us, she is quite the adventurer. Try putting him on the floor and laying down with him. Elizabeth always seems to love to crawl around and check things out but then she comes back kind of as to "check in". It's actually pretty cute. I think that this will show them that you are the "safety" point.

    Hope it works for you!

His name is Elizabeth? That might cause an identity crisis when he gets older.

OH, ya... I was thinking THIS is exactly my youngest and current BP.

Watch at least the first full minute to understand. Not always trying to get away. They just... who knows what they are thinking.
