My website logo poll

I have been working for a few days on a logo for my website/business and I have come up with two possible ideas that I would like your opinion on which is should use.

Option 1:

Not to try to seem mean or anything, but if you're doing a website for professional business I wouldn't go with either. It make the site possibly seem like a scam.

whats the name of your business? what do you do? where are you located?

Sorry.... But neither one of those really does it for me. :(

Have you given any thoughts about commissioning someone for your logo?

Not to offend you but it doesn't look that nice. Maybe get it done professionally?

Yes I have given it a thought but decided against it. Mostly because am learning photoshop and want to do it myself. But I have taken your thoughts into consideration and have decided your all right to an extent, it is a beginners work, and lets face it I have only been graphic designing in my spare time for a few months.

Its a bit big, but I wanted to show you my attention to detail. This is my idea for your logo.

Thank you for your contribution, but I am looking for less photographic and more towards a symbol/logo. I do really appreciate the detail and the combination of the two elements.
