MY beardies gone

Well I came home today and was feeding all my little ones. Well the time came for my beardie. Well i dropped a few crickets in and to my surprise she didnt move. I placed some fresh greens in with her and she still didnt move. So I gave her a gentle nudge to "wake" her up and still nothing. Sadly she must have passed sometime today because she was her usual self last night. I finally noticed my therm in the tank and it said 168F I have come to the conclusion that she was killed due to high temps. I think my rheostat malfunctioned or something because I have it set at around 100. I am just soo bummed out right now I can't believe shes gone. :(:(:(

That's a bummer. Sorry to hear about her.

Oh no! That's probably the worst nightmare of anyone on this forum. It's so hard to lose a beardie, they have the coolest personalities :tears:. You have my condolences.

So sorry to hear. What do you use for heat?

A UTH hooked up to a helix dbs 1000. I am assuming its the helix nothing else could have caused it.

Thanks guys. Yeah its a bummer. I need to get her tank outta my room. I keep staring at it and it empty. :(
