    Weaning & Weanlings
Hi again, a few more questions that need some answers please :)

So the 1.2 ASFs I bought droped their first litters about a week ago. Im getting ready to wean them in about 2 weeks. So a couple of questions in my mind.

First; am I supouse to feed the weanlings anything else other than the lab block the parents eat? They eat carrots and oatmeal now and then too as treats.

Second; the lab block hopper. Can they get the food out of it ok? Currently I just drop the blocks in the tub for the parents, but they seem to waste alot of the blocks hidding them. I wondering if I should try my luck with a hopper or is just mostly a waste of time?

Third; Which tubs do you guys recomend? remember I only keep one 1.2 breeder group so I dont need anything over sized. I need 2 tubs, one for males and one for the females. I did buy a pair of rubbermaid roughneck medium size (56qt/14gal) tubs, but mostly because I just saw them at a store and plan to use it as my trial and error and learn first rat tubs.

And keep in mind all these questions are towards the future weanlings not the parents please.

    Thanks alot.

I forgot something else. Does anyone have a pic of the "washers" I keep seeing in other post to to make the holes for the water bottles secure? What size are they?

    Thanks again

I will take pics of the washers tomorrow.

Yes the babies ONLY need to be fed the lab block that you are feeding the parents. They will get to it and eat it just fine as long as they can reach it.
