when it comes to mother and eggs
Does anybody just leave mom with her eggs in a tank or tub till they hatch? Or is that a no no?

Some breeders do maternal incubation, which is leaving the mother with her eggs until they hatch. You can search maternal incubation with the search tool and find a few threads on it. It's actually pretty cool.
