A few questions...

Yo hows it going. Sorry if there is another thread like this posted. I'm trying to figure out a checklist kinda thing for a BP tub set up. Also whats a good size tub for an adult BP and can you keep a younger smaller BP in it from the get go. Or should I start with a smaller tub. Now with the heating I had an extra UTH but it says not to use on plastic, whats a good source for heat? Whats the best way to keep humidity up and are there a certain amount of holes to put in tub? Sorry for all the questions that I'm sure have been asked before, I just want to make sure I get it right. Thanks

1.32 qt is fine
2.start with a small tub
3.you can use the uth but leave the sticker on and use some electrical tape over it, but use a dimmer or thermostat...or just get some flexwatt
4.tubs hold humidity a lot easier but misting should do it

if you use the UTH or Flexwatt you are going to need a rheostat or, even better, a thermostat.

as far as a checklist for a set up:

- two identical tight fitting hides
- water bowl
- substrate(newspaper or paper towels for quarantine)

thats basically it besides having the actual rubbermaid tub, UTH/Flexwatt and thermostat.

you'll need to experiment with how many holes you'll need to drill in the tub. if the tub never dries out after misting or water bowl spills and/or you see mold growth, then you definitely need more ventilation.

Not sure if it is just a preference thing but which tub does a snake prefer...the deeper ones or the shallower ones?

They are terrestrial snakes so they do better in a shallow tub. About 6 inches tall is enough
