Color of hides--Does it matter??
I'm going to make my female BP new hides out of these bowls, since she can't even fit in the ones I made. Some part of her body just stick out of the ones I made, so I'm making new ones. I have a purple bowl and a green bowl, and those are the only ones I can use for her and they can cut with scissors. I just tried to use a hot glue gun (the tip of it) to melt through these black plastic bowls, but that didn't work, the bowls are too tough and I burnt myself with that tip and now it still stings.
Does the color of the bowl matter? I know that a snake's vision is not the same as a human's vision, but would the color of the hides even matter?
Re: Color of hides--Does it matter??
I made the current hides I have in my racks from light green plastic bowels I found at Wal-Mart. My Snakes don't seem to have a problem with them.
Re: Color of hides--Does it matter??
I don't think the color really matters.
Re: Color of hides--Does it matter??
Snakes prefer pink. It suggests serenity in their household...
Re: Color of hides--Does it matter??
I wouldn't think it matters, unless they're clear enough to see through. But who knows what a snake is seeing? Supposedly dogs respond best to purple, and other bright primary colors - which clearly doesn't mean anything in relation to snakes, I just thought that was interesting. ;)

I also have some Green Plastic Bowl hides that i will be upgrading to when my Bps get a bit bigger right now im using white plastic bowls smaller sized. Im not sure color really matters like the previous post states " as long as they arent clear enough to see through " i dont htink you will have any issues!
