Any potential problems with this custom hide?

The black tray is a takeout tray from a Chinese restaurant. I cut out the smaller tray with the knife and cut out a small entrance. I then used the hot glue gun and glued Aquarium gravel all over the small plastic hide. This gave the hide a bit more weight and strength to it. The hide should be washable and is pretty inexpensive. I happened to have a large amount of aquarium gravel available from my fish tank.

I figured the aquarium gravel would give it weight and substance while also providing some rough spots for when my ball python sheds. Also I can use the other larger side of the tray when my ball python gets a little bigger.

Does anyone see any potential problems with this hide? Has anyone else done anything similar? I'm just got my first ball python a few days ago and am relatively new and want to make sure I'm not making any big mistakes.

it looks pretty nice, but if poo gets in the crevices between the gravel it may be hard to clean, but not impossible.

I'd say think about cleaning it and see what you can do piratically to make sure it stays sanitary.
