    Strange behavior...
My normal BP has started staying in her hide even after she has soiled it - she never use to do this - she would always vacate the nasty hide and go to the other side of her enclosure.

Is this something to be concerned about - why would she chose to sit in her own mess??? I always make sure I wash her off when she does this but I was just wondering if anyone else had snakes that did this??

    Thanks everyone.

Snakes sometimes do that, I don't really think it bothers them right away. I really wouldn't worry about anything if thats the only thing you seem to notice about her.

I immediately clean out her cage whenever I notice any messes but if she does it thru the night - she will be sitting in that mess for quite a while - that's just nasty.

I take a warm wash cloth and wipe her down to avoid her getting scale rot or something like that.

You don't have to use a warm wash cloth, just hold her, run warm water, put your hand over her head and rinse her off and gently wrap your hand around her and slide it down, it will clean her good, then I put mine in a towel and hold it sort of firm, and let her slide through to dry. It's nothing to really worry about though.
