    Jungle Carpets Pythons
    Hey guys,

Well I want to buy a Pair of JCP but just wondering if these are decent looking JCP's. https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...2/1/carpet.jpg

Also there about 5ft is that decent for a 3yr?

depends if you're just purchasing them to enjoy or to breed. i honestly think you'll have a hard time selling babies from that pairing. i'm sure that you would greatly enjoy them as 'pets' though.

Like Colin said, they are great, but if you are looking to sell babies, most people might rather have nice yellow babies. Then again, some people are looking for an inexpensive carpet regardless of how it looks as an adult.
    Just my 2 cents.

All in all, congrats. You have a great set of snakes, maybe not the quality some may want, but if it's the snake you wanted then you win.

IMO when it comes to jungles, if you want to breed you really need to search out trophy animals. Jungles have the widest range of "low end" to "high end" looks out of all carpet pythons, at least in my preferences for how they look.

However if you're just looking for a pet, the paintjob might be the last thing to consider :D

5' at 3 years is probably decent. My coastal carpet python is around 4' at a bit over 1 year, but then again coastals are bigger than jungles, and all snakes grow at different rates.

I agree that if you just want them as pets go for it if you like em. If there's a possibility that you would breed later down the road I would skip that pair. That being said I tend to like all carpets:)

I don't think he has bought them yet, but is asking for opinions before purchasing.

I would like to breed them. But if I can't get rid of 15 plus babies I don't think its worth buying. Let me know. Anyway I called the guy and he said there a Irian Jaya X Jungle. A guy came over the past weekend and would not buy them because they were not Jungles. I think there just Jayas. He said he bought the pair as babies. They were sold to him as Jungles. What I have done now is said Instead of 300 for the pair ill give you 250. I want a pair of Carpets badly but if most think they won't sell then I gotta take your word!

Also I think it is a Cross now because it has the Jaya pattern with the Jungle blushings on the sides!
