    Diamond soft and Carefresh Ultra
So I've been looking around for a source of diamond soft but it appears that carefresh ultra which I can get much easier is very similar and also has that great bright white color. Has anyone heard a similar thing?

So unless the emails I sent yesterday pan out for diamond soft what do people think about carefresh ultra? How similar is it?

I remember trying some carefresh product once and think I recall itbeing dusty. Anyone have input on dust levels with carefresh vs carefresh ultra?

I am going to try either normal carefresh or carefresh ultra and want some input.

Also if you are getting diamond soft please let me know where and how to get the best price. I can order in bulk if it will help save.

That stuff looks like crumbled up paper towels to me... Why not just use paper towels?

Well I don't think it molds as fast as paper towels and I want something you can spot clean, which you really can't with paper towels and newspaper. Also when snakes rearrange their substrate a particulate one is going to be easier to redistribute than a sheet one like the newspapers I'm using now.

Ah. I don't have a problem with her rearranging the paper towels in her tub. But, if you're worried about paper towel or newspaper molding, I'd say you need to check on your substrate more often. It would take a while for it to mold.

I only have one snake so spot cleaning is super easy for me :D

Oh I've never had it mold on me. I just want to try a substrate I can spot clean and diamond soft looks pretty cool. There's a guy that sells it that will be in my area around the 14th of next month so I'll try some then.

I'm an Aspen user, I'll just say that much

But I think, based on what you are looking for, Desert Snow, would be the recommended search. I don't know how much more or less, it would cost though....

I looked in to that and it is a lot more expensive than diamond soft. Either local or online.
