How old does she have to be?
I have read many things on females needing to be a certain age to actually breed.
Usually I see it's around 3 years of age or older that a female can give it a go....what is your opinion on this and is there a -right- answer?

Does the female HAVE to be 3yr plus or if she is up to a good weight -before- then could she give it a go?

(have a picture just to look at while you are debating)

I say weight is more important although, wouldn't breed the girl if she was under 2 years old because she's most likely up to weight because she's obese. I'd rather wait till she was safely up to weight and a decent age so I don't get a bunch of slugs or risk her health. The girl also needs to be at least 1,500 grams IMO.

    Age old question!!

Its a combo of both age and weight some three year old girls will breed and produce and not be 1500 grams and some 1500 grams females don't have to be 3 years old to produce.. its going to depend on each animal..

I agree, i just wondered how young some people actually do try to breed their girls if they were up to weight.

So you try that early and if the girl breeds it'd be okay?

The reason i actually started this thread was because I have a pastel girl (1 yr old so far) and she is growing like a WEED! I wondered what would be the earliest i could try to breed her if she was up to a healty weight....like at 2 yrs old for example(wouldnt go any younger!).
