    Increasing ambient temperature?
I just got a thermostat, and two UTH (I'm only using one right now, at the right side of the tank, and I do have hides etc set up properly). I'm using accurite to measure the temperature, and it's about 88 degrees right above the UTH, but on the other side it's 75 degrees.

How can I get the ambient temps up a bit? I could try putting the other uth on the side, but I'm worried that it gets to hot on the glass, without any substrate on top of it. I know heat lamps work great but they dessicate too much. I have a 10 gallon glass tank, and I do plan to switch to a plastic tub when my bp grows a little bit. Thanks a lot.

I don't understand how a single UTH could not be more than enough for a 10g, is your snake's cage in a freezer?

You could get a space heater to heat the room up, move the tank away from windows/doors/outside walls.

Best way to achieve proper ambient temps are to use a radiant heat panel, but since you are using a 10gallon thats probably not a very efficient option.

I'd say try covering the top of the cage in aluminum foil- it will keep heat in as well as help control humidity at the same time.
