    another price question
If i look on the SK site whats available, i see they ask for:

Pastel het ivory 2009 price 1000,=
Spider het axanthic 2009 price 2000,=
Spider het hypo 2009 price 1100,=

If you look for example the Spider het axanthic I see adult spiders and axanthics for sale on KS for half the price they ask for the spider het axanthic
and i could breed them my self next breeding season and even have a better outcome.More offspring each year.

But why are those prices still that high.

    Just wondering

If you mean breed a Spider to Axanthic and get a spider axanthic then no you would not get any of that. You get all Spider and Normals Het for Axanthic.

The reason a Spider het Axanthic is so much is because you need that with a axanthic or another spider het axanthic to make the Spider Axanthic. So a spider Axanthic is a co-dom/resscesive mix were the axanthic is just rescessive.

Because even at the prices you see for those "double morphs" it's a bargain. You will spend well over that on the lifetime care of the animal than those prices. More power in smaller number of animals is nice. I started with single morphs & hets but am looking at combos now when I add if I can, the versatility is very attractive.

The only thing i am saying is that for the price of a 2009 spider 100% het axanthic (2000,=) i can buy a adult spider female and a adult axanthic male and breed them together

Ok, so do it. But then what? U gotta wait for the eggs to hatch, hope the babies eat, then Wait 3 years if you manage to get a female Spider 100% het for axanthic and breed it back. It takes time which is why they are alot. The price reflects the time that you didnt need to put into breeding it.

Time is the biggest issue. but if you wanted to seriously do this... male spider and a female axanthic, finally breed them after 2-3 years and 50% of the babies are hets and 50% are males, so you got a 1/4 chance of getting the male you need to breed back to mom (after another year) and make spider anxanthics.
