Finally got by BP off of live mice!
Two weeks ago I tried feeding Pan (my BP) a frozen/thawed mouse but she wouldn't eat it. She struck at it, but that was it and was more concerned with getting out of her feeding tank (I feed her in a separate tank). Two days later she shed so I don't know him that played a part in her not eating. I tried again last weekend and she ignored the frozen/thawed mouse altogether. Btw I made sure the mouse was nice and warm before giving it to her, even rubbed it around in my live mouse bedding (this is my breeder mouse Bonnie and my pet, so she will not be fed to Pan).

Today I tried again, but instead of frozen/thawed my mom and I went and bought another live mouseThe store wouldn't prekill it for me so I had to do it myself. It was humane, don't worry, but so I don't upset people I won't go into detail. I put her in the feeding tank and she ate it! I was so happy. I'm going to stick to prekilled for a while then ease her into frozen/thawed.

Btw the reason why I'm switching her to frozen/thawed and/or prekilled is because five weeks ago a mouse bit her. I have no problem feeding live, I'm just concerned for her safety.

Mice are nasty bitey things- had more mice bite me than rats. I too like to feed FT or PK over live- although I have to start my hatchlings on live for the 1st few meals. Congrats on the switch!
