Will my 1000g mojo female reach breeding size for this season?
She is in shed now and normally eats like a pig. I'd love a chance at some BELs this season and just wanted to know my chances.
I also have a spider at a similar weight and was wondering if they can put on a healthy 500g in the next 3-4 months.
If not I still have 4 normals that can go with either a mojo, pastel, ghost or albino. Maybe even a cinny if he bulks up but I'm not holding my breath for him for this season.

I'm not sure exactly. I think she is late 08 or early 09. I got her when she was around 300g I think.
Does that play a big role? I thought weight was what you really needed to be concerned about. But this is my first season breeding so it is all new to me.

it really depends on who you talk too!
most agree that the female should have had at least 2 winters. others say 1500 grams or more. i breed colubrids and size is all that matters their.
i own balls but none are large enough to breed yet,so take what i say with a grain of salt. but if they are large enough then id do it.

It really depends on the female. I have an '08 female that has the size to her and is already showing signs of developing behavior without ever being introduced to a male. At the same time, I have '06 females that will be bred for the first time this season and a couple of '07s that will not be bred this year. Every female is different in regards to appetitie, build, length, etc.

Yeah my girl is thick but not very long at the moment.
And what behaviors should I be looking for?

I've seen my '08 girl bowl wrapping and lumping up so far, both of which are good signs of follicular development.

Also, if your female is an '09, I'd definitely give her at least one more year. I would not breed a female her first winter.
