    Is there a difference? If so what is it? If a person has been thanked 100's of times I would assume they are reputable.

    Its my experience here that Rep points are a lot harder to earn than thanks. You can post a picture thread once in a while with some amazing animals and get many thanks but it usually requires a pretty well thought out post to earn a positive rep.

    ya i give out thanks like pennies. but i give out rep when i read a post and go "oh dam. thats true!" or "whoa, hes totally right!" or "good point" etc..

    Sometimes you get thanked because you helped someone with a question :gj:.Then sometimes you get rep and thanked at the same time lol
