problem feeder, I no normal for BP

I bought a proven breeder Albino about 2 and a half months ago. Since then I have tried feeding him once a week every fri.. with everything you can think of, Natal's, hooded, mice gerbals. and so far nothing, I have tried night and day. At first I thought it was the temps or humidety, but they are sitting perfect at 89 hot spot and hum. is siting at 55. Is there any suggestions or should I just wait him out.

Your hot side seems a little low, especially if you're using a thicker substrate like aspen. What are your cold side temps at? Have you tried prescenting? I'd suggest talking to the breeder you got him from, any reputable/respectable breeder will want to make sure you're doing ok. Find out what he was eating, how often and if it was always a certain time of day. Also large differences in the enclosure size may lend to stress.

I agree, you may also want to tell us a little more about how you have them housed, like numbers of hides, substrates, what you have it in, and are you trying live and f/t or just one? Some once on f/t will only eat f/t in my experience. I have a female that will only eat if it is prekilled and I just leave it in the cage with her and go away. She wont strike at it is I dangle it and she hides from live.

im using unprinted news paper on for flooring, the cool side is sitting at 81. Ill get in touch with him, and find out what size tub he was in be for. i have tried pre sentting. he was feeding on live hooded rats once a week, thurs. if im not mistaken, but i dont now a time. though i for got to mention last night he grabbed the same rat twice and rapped it and with in 10 to 20 secs he let go.

I'd suggest putting your hot side at ~92 and keep talking to the breeder. Was he ever a problem feeder before you got him?

I do not use hides with my adults because they just tend to go under the paper. I have 8 snakes 6 adults all housed the same way and he is the only one who is being this way. Though I also did try a hide and he just went under the paper. I have tried live, pre killed and frozen thawed. I love this guy to death but man is he stubborn.

Not that He mentioned, I trust the breeder Bc he has good backround, and I also Picked up a het from him who is a good feeder.

I hear you I got a 2 stubborn eaters my self and it can be very frustrating.

At first it coming to terms with they dont need t eat much, then its coming to terms with holy crap he really ant eating lol. Im picking up a 1400 gram female this weekend god help me if she is like this lol. I just emailed the breeder so Ill go from there and keep my hopes high lol Thanks all for the help

He may just be more in the mood to breed than eat - we are heading into that season. Your temps sound fine to me. However, sometimes just moving them to a smaller enclosure (even if it's super cramped) or filling his tub with loosely crumpled newspaper and offering food a week later may help.
