Snake...ejaculation

It appears my lemon pastel male ejaculated is this common for a male during breeding season when he is ready to go?

There is 2 piles of sticky goo...is there a problem? could he be sick?

Are you sure it's not just urate? They can have a variety of colors & consistencies - Mona just left one that was white, green AND brown. :P:oops: I don't know about snake ejaculate, so can't say if that's a possibility.

That is a sperm plug.

They don't really do that...snakes' sperm just sort of travels on its own between the pair when they are locked. As you can see from the photo of the sperm plugs, they don't tend to secrete very much of it before it dries, and they don't extend their hemipenes unless they're breeding. The sperm plugs themselves are partially dried semen found within the hemipenal pockets. Sometimes these will be found on the cage floor or even in a water bowl--they look like the photo shown.

You're probably looking at urine or feces.

thank you all. I didnt know what to do so i left it overnight and it dried up...i dont think it was a kind of worm..maybe it was just nasty urates ive never seen before.
