Golden Tegu Diet

I am getting a Golden Tegu at the end of the week. What sort of meats are OK. I know ground turkey and chicken are okay. What about raw chicken breast or turkey breast? Any fruits or veggies OK?

Gold tegus will NOT eat fruit or veggies.

They will eat any kind of meat, but it is NOT a good staple diet, or you will have a case of MBD on your hands.

Whole rodents of appropriate size, coupled with proper husbandry will ensure a healthy, happy tegu.
