Am I going to find a cheaper male pewter at Tinley Park?? $700 shipped

i'm lookin to buy a Pewter male and don't know whether to buy one right now for $700 shipped, or wait till Tinley Park next month. This pewter is 800g and proven. Any opinions would be appreciated, Thanks

Thats kinda hard to know unless a vendor whom is going to be at Tinley wants to drop his that low.

I know its speculative, I was just hoping that someone with reptile convention experience could give me an idea of how low venders generally tend to go. I already know that $700 shipped is pretty cheap for a proven 800g pewter, so just kinda fishing I guess.

If it were me, I would search around for the best quality pewter and not worry so much about the price. If it is a great looking pewter for $700 then go for it, but for that price I bet it is a low grade example.

At the table I was working at pewters were 800 males 1000 females and these were hatchlings. The vendor had a proven breeder I would guess at 850-1000grams for 1500 and he is a nice pewter so go with your gut. I have a 400+ gram male I wouldn't let go for less than 1000 because he is super nice

I second this. You get what you pay for. If you want to produce smokin' animals, then selective breeding is the way to go. The extra couple hundred you'll spend on a super example of the morph will pay off when you produce a higher quality animal. Just my 2 cents...

i dont really think you will find a male that large for that price.
