I've read that when you can see skin between the scales they're obese.

Your snake may be obese if... the only rodent it prefers are chocolate Easter bunnies... :rofl:

Obese snakes will get rolls of fat when they curl up. I've seen an obese cal king that has huge rolls of fat on both his sides down his whole body. Not sure why the previous owner let it get that bad, I think it's pretty hard to miss.

seems like most captive Blood Pythons are good examples. And some Redtail boas...
