    A few hots i saw today
    Well i went to Wildlife prarie park in Peoria Illinois(my hometown) and these are a few snakes that are native to Illinois.First we have the timber rattler. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...12-2009001.jpg

    Nice photos, and looks like a pleasant little exhibit - though your cottonmouth looks a lot like a copperhead on my monitor!

    Thats correct because some people use one name but others call them the other :P.

    I have heard that in Georgia they are called highland moccisan(coppenhead) and lowland moccisan(Cottonmouth), but I have never heard the copperhead called a cottonmouth. Every state is different so I cant say you are wrong, but I could see you calling it a moccisan and that would fit, but cottonmouth just doesn't sound right for a copperhead.

    Think ablout how many differant names people have for bluegills.We have bream,sunnies,shellcrackers and probably a few more that i forget right now :P
