After 2 years, he finally got me!
My pastel was purchased on October 31st, 2007. From that day on, he has been trying to bite me every chance he gets. I used to have to use a makeshift hook to move him from his tub so I could clean it.

Well, after almost two years of trying to bite me, he finally did. :P I was feeding all the snakes f/t mice and when I got to Thriller, he was poised to strike as always. I did the "zombie mouse dance" in front of him with the mouse and he struck and constricted. So I moved on and closed his tub. The vibration of the tub closing caused him to let go of the mouse. Now he is the kind of picky eater that NORMALLY doesn't eat a mouse that he isn't constricting, so I went to pick it back up with the tongs and BAM! Right on my fingers. I barely felt it and there was only the tiniest drop of blood. I just stared at him for a second and said "Well fine then, you can figure out what to do with it!" As if to prove his point that the mouse was his, he ate it as soon as I left, without constricting it.

I guess he did a little dance after I left. He'd been waiting almost two years for that. :D No pictures as the bite was so small, I can barely see it in person. Just 3 teeny itsy bitsy brown dots on my finger.

No, the bite was too small. :P There was a tiny dot of blood on each "puncture mark" and I wiped that away and no more blood. I could barely find the teeth marks so there was no way I was getting a picture.

My rescue has been wanting to get me for some time now (that same night he struck at my belly twice. His tub is right at that level so I had to jump back). I was like :O and then I was like .

LOL at those two sentences. :8: Delilah finally got me for the first time, about two months ago... and I think she did a dance too, hehe. My pastel, on the other hand, is the most gentle snake I have ever met - I swear, he doesn't even like to bite his (live) prey, so usually depends on the constricting alone. They do have unique personalities, don't they?

My female het pied got me after a meal couple of days ago.....I laughed actually. One tiny tiny drop of blood. I guess she was still pretty hungry. :P
