    new BP, different ?
I am just wondering is it a good sign that he stays in his hide during the day and comes out to check out the cage at night? last night I uncovered the front of his cage after 3 days of him being with me and I have been able to sit in front of his cage and he doesn't get startled and still goes about his business. and I am going to be gone for three days so he will have some time to be completely left alone.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking but my ball does the same thing. He stays in his hide all day unless he wants water or the cool side but as soon as the lights go off he is out and about.

Ball pythons are hiders, and nocturnal by nature when they do become active and explore or hunt. In the wild they hide underground, in burrows and holes they can find, because they make tasty treats for predators.
