Welcome! You have defiinitely come to the right place to learn about BP's and other snakes! I was once afraid of snakes too, but I now own a BP and it has been quite a learning experience. BP's are great snakes, known for their very docile nature. There are so many awesome people on here that will be able to answer any of your questions.

    Hello Kathy,

    :welcome:

I hope you enjoy your time here. I think its very cool you're taking an interest in your husbands hobby.

Ball pythons are wonderful animals and make great pets. They tend to be much more shy than corns and really nothing to be intimidated by. They get their name ball pythons because rather than lash out and strike when threated they ball themselves up into a passive defensive position.

The main reason I got into balls at first was because I didn't feel comfortable handling such a tiny snake like a corn.

We're here to answer any questions for you, and hopefully set you on the path to herping :D
