    is my python sick?
a few days ago i noticed our BP started burying his head and rubbing his head and face...HARD...REALLY HARD....under his ground cover and other bark objects in his cage. He looks like he's ready for a shed, but hasn't even started yet, and this seems different....he's also been soaking in his H2o.....does this sound like mites? soaked him in the tub and didn't see anything, and it's also been extremely hot lately....maybe his just pissed?
    but i'm worried....

Regarding the rubbing, does he seem to have injured himself by rubbing so hard? Are there scales missing, or possibly any bleeding? Rubbing that hard until injury are usually signs of stress. If there's no damage, and he appears to be ready to shed, then he's probably doing just that - trying to shed. How is the humidity in the tank? A BP may soak to aid in shedding if the humidity is not high enough.
