Tub Humidity Question?

I set up a 32qt tub yesterday that I plan on moving one of my BP's in when I get the numbers correct. Yesterday through last night the humidity was hanging around 56-60%. Today it has been raining all day and I keep my house around 80deg. For the last few hours the humidity in the tub has been sitting between 78-81%. The humidity in my tanks is at 64% so obviously I need to make an adjustment. Currently I have one row of holes on each of the long sides spaced 2 inches apart. So if I add more holes, can I only add them to one side or do I need to add them to both sides. Or, since I am about to go shopping, I could get a oscillating fan to circulate air at the tub. Currently I have the ceiling fan running, which works for the screen tops, but if I switch to tubs I will need a different approach. So how do those of you using tubs regulate the ventilation and humidity?

If it is just because of the rain then I would put a small fan outside the tub to help circulate the air better.

Thanks. That was what I was kind of thinking, at least until I can get some consistent readings. I was reading on another forum about tub set-up and they said if you have too many hole to just tape some up. I was thinking if you did this, isn't there a chance of you snake accidentally flicking their tongue into one of the holes and getting it stuck to the backside of the tape? I would think taping a small piece of plastic bag or something over the holes would be better...

Let the tub sit for another day or two to see how it adjusts. If you do add in more holes add them on both sides so you get a nice flow through ventilation.
