info plz

i just got a couple BPs for a guy in my area that dont seem to be well taken car off. he didnt have heat for them, their tubs were nasty and a think they have an RI. also the females bose looks wrong here is a pic.

Awwww, her nose is messed up :( Plus her eyes are dented. The eyes are an easy fix though. Are you planning to take them to a vet or anything?

im going to do whatever i need to do with them thats why im here to get advice on what i should do. what do you mean eyes are dented and how do i help them? is there meds i can get for RI and the eyes prob, or is it only prescription from a vet? asking about meds because i cant get to the vet till like wensday with this being a holiday weekend.

That is nasty, did they use mud as substrate?!?! Just take her to the vet imo....

what are the symptoms of RI that i should look for? i heard the male weezing and the female poping nothing else out of the normal besides her nose all messed up :(

wheezing, popping, drippy mucous coming from the mouth, yawning, etc are all RI symptoms. They need to see a vet.

will take them asap ty im just glad i got them before the guy let them just die, i figured those are the symptoms was just double checking. i dont understand why people get animals that they arent even going to take care of, it makes me mad as hell:mad: the exotic vet is closed till tuesday i raised the temp up a bit till then

Dented eyes are usually caused by low humidity or dehydration:

you're doing what you can. And I'll never understand why people get animals and dont take care of them (or breed animals and dont take care of them...)

What did you raise the temps to? Let the vet know these guys are a rescue and maybe they can help on the price.

yay! the vet said he didnt see any signs of a RI! but they do have parasites :( and the females poping is due because she only has 1 very small nostril because of the scaring on her face. they are in shed so he didnt want to tube them to get rid of the parasites and he is going to recheck for RI on there follow up after they shed.
