Clueless to corn morfs. Identification help please?
When we purchased this snake it was labeled as a Blood Red. Now that we've had him for well over a year, i doubt that it was true labeling. It's not a big deal if he is some special morf, or something really normal. It would just be nice to know /what/ he is.
Thanks for your help in advance!
Some general info: His belly is pure white until a little over half way down him, where he starts turning a muddy orange.
His tail end colors are much darker than his head end colors.

Re: Clueless to corn morfs. Identification help please?
A very nice motley snake you have there. Motley is a simple recessive pattern gene. Both bloodred and motley give rise to clear bellies, so that may have been the confusion. And a snake that is homo blood and motley can be hard to tell apart, but that one doesn't have the diffusion one would expect on a bloodred. So its safe to say motley.

i cant see it being bloodred. for me, the ones i have seen the reds will be really bright red and intense, even more so on the motleys and more so again in stripes.
very nice snake, guess you will have to breed to a bloodred to find out. get all bloods, and there you have it.. she/he will be blood motley.
